Bi Fold Doors

A popular addition to any property, Bi-fold doors can transform your home as a design feature and also by becoming a link between the inside and outdoors.

Buying a set of Bi-fold doors is a purchase that you will want to last for years to come. You don’t want to pay over the odds but you do want to achieve great results so it’s important to do some research and see what is available for your budget.

These aluminium Bi-fold and multi-fold doors really are a design feature that will transform any property.

You can choose to have them open in or out, they can incorporate a single opening door, fold in one direction completely or fold equally from the centre in both directions. Full computer aided drawings are usually needed here to demonstrate all of the options available to help you decide.

Bi-Fold Door Colour Options

The range of colours and opening options are almost unlimited and will be tailored to suit your preferences.

Any colour is possible and these doors are manufactured in thermally broken Aluminium for superior strength, reliability and energy efficiency.

Heat saving & toughened safety glass is included as standard so this will help with the energy bills as well as improving security.

Really the choice is yours, just pick a colour, give us the opening size and we will do the rest!

Bi-Fold Door Security & Performance

The quality manufacturers invest heavily in testing their products to make sure that the doors are safe and secure and resistant to the harshest of weathering that we experience.

Research the locking specification and find out what the suppliers are providing as standard, the locks should be multi-point locking with shoot-bolts.

Bi-Fold Door Design Options

The doors are bespoke and very versatile with so many different configurations available to you. This is where having one of our experienced design consultants visiting you can really help. With their expertise and your inspiration you get the perfect solution just for you.

Consider internal and external floor levels to help you decide on threshold levels and whether there are any obvious obstructions to avoid the doors clashing anywhere. Where possible you can often achieve a flush floor finish which is a great look design wise and avoids any trip hazards

Just some of the questions to consider

  • Do you want your Bifold doors to open in or out ?
  • How many panels would you like in your doors ? (you can have your bifold doors divided into panes right the way up to 6 so the opening can be from 1.5m to 6m wide !  )

Handles & Glazing

Some Bi-Fold Door systems offer concealed handles as an option giving a sleek design and taking up less room, allowing the doors to open and fold back more completely.

The glass is normally clear to give a stunning open view to the outside. You can however upgrade the specification to a higher grade glass with solar control to reduce the glare from the sun.

A good idea if the doors are South facing with a large surface area of glass.

You can also opt for integral blinds that sit within the glass units and are operated by remote control. Wow just got better and the offer privacy and solar control at the touch of a button!
